Who Am I?
My Name is Erin Joy Ashman, I am a Singing and Performance Teacher and Professional Vocalist
For as long as I can remember my passion for the performing arts has been a huge part of my life!
I started dancing age 3 with Bluebell School Of Dance And Performing Arts.
It was around the age of 7 that a school teacher noticed I had started to develop a "lovely little singing voice" this was when my parents decided some singing lessons may be in order! From that moment on Singing became my life every free moment spent either preparing for exams or singing just for the pure love of it!
I developed a huge love for all things Musical Theatre and was thrilled to be offered a place with the National Youth Musical Theatre performing in several shows and even being chosen to perform in "A Celebration Of Young Talent" at Buckingham Palace.
I went on to receive a Distinction in my Associate Diploma with Trintity College London and after auditioning was delighted to gain a place at London School Of Musical Theatre where I continued to train and hone my skills and talents and graduated in 2012 with a Distinction in my Diploma.
Since graduating from drama school I have been lucky enough to work continuously as a vocalist for P&O Cruises-Headliners Theatre Company And Bourne Leisure-Original Cast for the Thornwick Theatre Company
I have also gone on to work as a rehearsal director for Bourne Leisure. Teaching the shows to the casts across the country for Haven Holidays.
After returning from my last contract I have made the decision to focus mainly on the teaching side of my career as sharing my skills and helping to develop those of others has always been something I am truly passionate about!
My teaching practice is run from my home in Walderslade.
I am so excited to encourage the next generation of young performers and to teach adults who are keen to start singing or refresh existing skills especially those who need encouragement with performance confidence as well as learning to improve on their singing technique.
I am also available to sing at any event or venue either alone or accompanied by fellow professional musicians and am happy to arrange a set specific to your needs.
